Pictures - 9 Months

We finally got Audrey's 9 month pictures taken tonight. Yes, she will be 10 months old next week, but she is still 9 months!!! :) Hope you enjoy!

9 Months

Since Audrey will be 10 months next week, I thought it was about time for me to do her 9 month post. :)

Audrey is doing really well. She is a fantastic sleeper and napper which makes my life so much easier. She loves to play with her big sister, and she thinks Ava is hilarious. She is now pulling up on EVERYTHING. She tries to take a few steps while we hold her hands, but she isn't very close to walking. She still only has her bottom two teeth, but I keep waiting for a few more to come in. It looks like she will get the two on their side of the two she already has, but they just won't pop through. She is going to look really funny with four on the bottom and nothing on top!

We had Audrey's 9 month pictures scheduled for the weekend before last, but Ava got sick literally minutes before we were supposed to leave. We had to cancel, and I really need to get them taken this weekend.

Here are Audrey's stats from her check-up:

Height: 27 1/4 in. (50%)
Weight: 15 lbs. 6 oz. (5%)
Head: 17 in. (25%)

Here are Ava's stats from the same age:

Height: 29 in. (90%)
Weight: 16 lbs. 11 oz. (15%)

Audrey is officially smaller than her sister at the same age. Everyone thought Ava was tiny, but Ava had Audrey beat by over a pound. For the record, the doctor is not worried about Audrey's weight. She eats well and is doing everything she should be doing at this age. He thinks she is just small.

I'll leave you with a few pictures from this morning. By the time I walked into Audrey's room when she woke up, Ava had already climbed into her bed to tell her good morning. Audrey was excited to have her big sister in her bed. :)

By the way, the thing over the front of her crib is to protect the wood from our little teether. Ava chewed on her crib and we are trying to keep that from happening with Audrey's.

Easter

I am a little late getting the Easter pics up, but what's new?!? We had a busy Easter this year. Ava had a playgroup Easter egg hunt, one at school, and on at my grandma's house all before Easter day. She had a ton of fun this year.

I'm glad she got to do all of that because Easter day was a little hectic. My grandma fell and broke her pelvis the week before Easter and spent that week in the hospital. She got to move to a skilled nursing facility on Easter day, so we went to church and then my parents had to get her settled into the new place. We had to head back home, so we didn't do an official egg hunt on Easter. Oh well! We still got a lot of cute pictures and our girls are young enough that they didn't know the difference.

Ava didn't want to take pictures (surprise, surprise), so most of the pictures are of Audrey. Audrey is getting so big! She turned 9 months old this week. I can't believe it!! She is now crawling everywhere, can sit up from a laying down position, and is now pulling up. We are in BIG trouble now!! The hard thing about having two is that Ava has toys that are not age appropriate for Audrey. When Ava was little, I could leave her in the playroom alone for a few minutes and know that she was completely safe in there. I have to constantly keep an eye on Audrey which makes doing things around the house a little more difficult.

Ava loves playing with Audrey. She can't wait for her to be a little bigger. I can't wait for her to be able to play tea party with Ava because I play tea party, restaurant, beauty shop, and have a camp out about a 100 times a day. :)

The following is a conversation I had with Ava this week:

Me: Ava, quit jumping over your sister
Ava: But, we're playing leap frog
Me: Okay, just jump next to your sister...not over her
Ava: (Sigh) I guess I can do that, but it won't be leap frog

If Audrey survives her sister "playing" with her, it will be a miracle!
