Catching Up (Again)

I am always way behind on posting pictures even though I have good intentions. This will be another "catching up" post.

Ava went to the zoo twice in one week recently, but she had a blast. Kurt and I took her on a Saturday and then I went with a group of girls from church during the week. Ava has decided that she will no longer smile for pictures, so most of these are of her not smiling or the back of her. Oh well, I'm sure she'll decide it's fun to smile for the camera again at some point.

This is what Ava has started doing in the morning. She'll get up, eat breakfast, and then watch tv in our room while Kurt gets ready for work.



Now she wants to know why I am interrupting cartoons to take pictures of her.



This is also a new favorite activity. I'm not sure why she is only wearing her diaper...

This past weekend, we also took Ava to her first Aggie football game. She did great! She stayed up in the stands the whole game. Of course, she spent the majority of the game in Boompa's lap.

Catching Up...

Once again, it has been a while since I've posted. We've had a busy summer and Ava has grown up so much! Don't worry...I'll get to pictures and video later.

I was pretty sick for much of the summer and finally had my gallbladder removed in July. It took a little while to get back to normal, but I'm finally feeling much better! Shortly after my surgery, Kurt and I went to Jamaica to celebrate our 5th anniversary. We had a great time. It was so nice to relax on the beach and not listen for a baby monitor at night. Ava had a good time splitting the time between her two sets of grandparents. She came back very spoiled of course!!

I don't have a lot of time, so I'll go ahead and post some videos and pictures. I'll write more later.

Ava's hair is finally long enough for pigtails. She still won't sit still long enough for me to make them look good, but they're cute anyway!

I'll try to post some pictures of our trip to Jamaica a little later. It's difficult to find pictures where I wasn't wearing a swimsuit. :)

Children's Museum and Swimming

Wow, two posts in the same month. I told y'all this blog would get a lot more active. I need to try the new program Kathryn suggested, but for now I'll continue with the uploader I am using now.

Today my sister, some of her friends, and I took our kids to the Children's Museum. It was so much fun. There was much more for Ava to do than I anticipated. Here are some pictures of Ava playing in the "tots room".

When Caleb was at our house last, he decided he needed to wear Ava's bow and play with her baby dolls. I think this may end up in a wedding video one day.


Finally, the last time we went swimming, we saw this baby deer. Isn't it cute? Yes, we really were that close to it. It didn't get scared until Ava started walking up to it.
